Christmas at Fishbourne Roman Palace

Step into the festive season with Fishbourne Roman Palace's Christmas Through Time event.

On the 5th and 6th December 2026, discover a Christmas extravaganza. We have so much to see and do!

Explore a selection of stalls from local makers, artists and community groups, offering unique gifts, handmade crafts and seasonal treats ideal for your Christmas shopping. In addition to this, enjoy an amazing line up of local bands and choirs to inject some festive spirit into your weekend. Timings for each act will be confirmed closer to the day, but you can expect a warm, family friendly atmosphere and a full programme of music to enjoy as you explore all the Palace has to offer.

Raven-Tor living history group will also be showcasing Christmas and mid-winter celebrations and traditions from across the ages. From the Stone Age to the Iron Age Winter Solstice, through the Roman Saturnalia, and into the Saxon Yule, explore how different peoples marked the darkest days of winter. Wander further through the centuries to experience the spirit of a Medieval Christmas, a refined Georgian celebration, the warmth of a Victorian Christmas, and the resilience of a World War Two wartime Christmas.

Families can get involved with fun activities for children, making this a festive outing for all ages.
